Chief Master Sergeant ERIC S. JOHNSON

CMSgt Eric S. Johnson is the Senior Enlisted Leader, Department of the Air Force Inspector General and Inspector General Career Field Manager, Arlington, Virginia. In this capacity, Chief Johnson is a principal advisor to the Inspector General on readiness, efficiency and the state of discipline for active duty Air Force, Space Force, the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve forces throughout the Department of the Air Force. His reports to The Inspector General include direct observations and data gained
through analysis of inspections, evaluations and complaint resolution processes across all Major Commands and Air Reserve Component Inspector General Teams. Chief Johnson provides Air Force Headquarters compliance oversight on behalf of The Inspector General for the Air Force Inspection System, Nuclear Surety, Fraud, Waste and Abuse, and Complaints Resolution Programs. Additionally, he serves as the Career Field Manager for the 8I000, 8I100 and 8I200 special duty career fields.

Chief Johnson enlisted in the Air Force in December of 1999 and his background includes aircraft maintenance, unaccompanied housing, and various roles in the education and training career field. He has provided training support to several different types of airframes to include C-130J, HH-60, and KC-135 and has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.

Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the 3F2X1 Education and Training Career Field Manager, Headquarters Air Force.
