Colonel COLONEL JASON N. SCHRAMM

Col Jason N. Schramm serves as The Secretary of the Air Force's Deputy Inspector General for Space, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He is responsible to The Inspector General (SAF/IG) for assessing warfighting effectiveness and combat readiness, and ensuring the highest standards and compliance for the United States Space Force. In addition, he oversees fraud, waste, and abuse investigations and provides oversight of the complaints resolution program. Col Schramm liaises with other federal agencies, DoD, and Joint Staff IGs to support their inspections, DoD management issues, and Congressional audits.

Col Schramm was commissioned through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Notre Dame in August, 1998. He completed Undergraduate Space and Missile Training in April, 1999 with a follow-on assignment as an ICBM Combat Crew Member. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Weapons School in December 2003, and subsequent assignments included space operations positions in the satellite command and control, theater support, and training mission areas.

Col Schramm also served in a variety of staff assignments at the NAF, MAJCOM, Combatant Command, and Joint Staff levels, and deployed twice to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He commanded at both the Squadron and Delta level, including as the first Commander of Space Delta 1. Prior to this assignment he was the Deputy Commander of US Space Forces Indo-Pacific where he oversaw the planning and execution of integrated and synchronized joint, allied, and partner space operations to protect and defend U.S. interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
